We had our 3rd or 4th family dinner night with the grandparents over, which is quickly becoming a favorite part of each week! The highlight this week was playing 'Luke's matching animal game'. He dictated to me what each card should have on it and 'created' his own matching game. Gma Susan was the big winner. Luke would sit on the lap of whoever was in the lead ;)
One of my highlights of the week was putting Luke to bed last night. After a few stories (one of which he read half of to me!!) he said he would tell me a story, but instead he sang me a song that went a little something like this 'I love my mommy, she is great. I kiss her and hug her and love her so much...' melt my heart amazing. Thank you, Luke.
Another highlight is being awoken very early one morning but having my back rubbed by Luke to 'help you get back to sleep'. What a kid!
I had lunch with him at school today which was very fun. I was able to participate in a little of the PE class, lunch and recess so I ran laps, hula hooped, had my chocolate milk delivered by my kiddo, talked about favorite foods and birthdays at the lunch table, played tag and hide and seek then headed back to the high school to talk about grades and college appications. It was a great lunch break!
