These are my speech books from when I was in 1st and 2nd grade. There is no better sight than to see your kid occupying his time with a pile of books. Love this...One of Luke's classmates takes speech, and when his mommy mentioned that he was at speech, Luke quickly told her, 'my mommy took speech, too.'

Typical Tuesday

 and Santa!?!?  Maybe not so typical of a Tuesday! We ran into Santa shopping for Christmas decorations at Hobby Lobby! Who knew...he did let us know that although his reindeer like cheese, he has to limit how much they eat on Christmas Eve so that they don't get any indigestion on the flight :)

Just for the record, my personal favorite reason for enjoying November. Seasonal Roka cheese spread. YUM!

Getting ready

I am not a huge fan of Santa stories, or of 'you better be good b/c Santa is watching' child rearing. However, when Luke and I went out tonight for pizza and a little holiday decorating shopping (he LOVED picking out ornaments for his little tree) we ran into a certain someone at Hobby Lobby (yes, Santa needs decorations, too) and this mom was given a big fat dose of Christmas spirit. Luke wasn't too sure what to say or do, but he did laugh when Santa told us not to leave too much cheese out for the reindeer because it gives them gas. This is a Santa we can all relate to...

Sunday fun

Dad came over to watch the Lions, but was disrupted by crayon art, a change of pants and some snuggles. Great Sunday!

on the project at hand! I now have some new art in my office that makes me smile with pride :)
